Letter from the President
Dear Members:
For the benefit of UK Webcasters who wish to make their audio programs available to listeners within the United Kingdom, SWCast Network is negotiating a formal license agreement with Phonographic Performance Limited.
We are aware that some confusion exists about the extent of performance rights as they pertain to broadcast transmissions made outside of the United States (currently, all stations on SWCast Network, including those produced by UK Webcasters, have reception limited to the United States).
We believe this will be a beneficial step forward for both our company and for the rights holders in sound recordings. Likewise, SWCast Network Incorporated will now become the only firm in the world to legally provide blanket Internet radio licensing of sound-recordings to both the United Kingdom and to the United States.
This is a very exciting opportunity for us. A strong market demand exists for this service, and we look forward to a positive relationship with PPL. An official announcement and press release will be made available to the public once the terms of this new license agreement have been fully established.
Regards,
Randall E. Krause President/CEO SWCast Network, Inc.
